Biography

Laura Rueda is a litigation paralegal who is passionate about assisting clients who have suffered injury or loss.  Her legal career began at a young age when she started working as a receptionist for a personal injury law firm, after that she knew she wanted to continue a career in the legal field.  With her growing knowledge and understanding, she quickly began advancing positions working her way up to legal secretary, paralegal, and ultimately litigation paralegal. 

With more than 20 years in the legal field, Laura has worked for well-known personal injury firms, where she gained invaluable experience.  Laura has extensive knowledge and involvement working on both federal and state personal injury cases to include catastrophic injury, wrongful death, Jones Act, Federal Employer’s Liability Act, product liability, 18-wheeler accidents, and motor vehicle accidents.  She has assisted attorneys in numerous mediations, arbitrations, and trials throughout the United States.

Born and raised in Houston, Texas, Laura is bilingual in Spanish with an Associate of Arts Degree from Lone Star College.  Not long after graduating high school Laura got married and had three children. When her youngest son was diagnosed with Juvenile Rheumatoid Arthritis at the age of 11, Laura and her husband actively got involved with the Arthritis Foundation.  Laura now serves on the Arthritis Foundation Board of Directors and helps other families by advocating, volunteering, and fundraising for the 300,000 children who live with this debilitating illness.
