Jessica D. Mendicutti
“I want to help those that need help, stand up for those that can’t do it for themselves, and am willing to fight those who refuse to take responsibility for the actions that caused someone else harm.”
A bilingual, Spanish-speaking native of San Antonio, Texas, Jessica Mendicutti joined the firm in 2019 as an attorney and is handling personal injury and business litigation, with an emphasis on work-related lawsuits. She is committed to working with those clients that are being taken advantage of by a system that she believes is inherently not in their favor. She decided to practice law because of her experience growing up watching her father practice in immigration as a paralegal. His work in helping others inspired her to look beyond herself and see the importance of trying to make even a small, positive difference in someone else’s life.
Jessica attended the University of Texas at Austin, where she graduated and received a Bachelor’s degree in Vocal Performance. After graduating, she decided to switch directions and pursue a career in law. She received her Juris Doctorate from St. Mary’s University School of Law in 2016, as well as completed her Master’s degree in International Relations from St. Mary’s University that same year.
Since becoming licensed in November 2016, Jessica has continued her strong focus and desire to fight for her clients and help those achieve an outcome they wouldn’t otherwise have been able to achieve on their own. She wants to be known as a tough and practical attorney whose top priority is to others and not to herself. Jessica draws from her own diverse life experiences in order to better understand the hardships and adversities that her clients are facing. She believes that those people and corporations who do wrong and cause harm to others should be held accountable for their choices.
Jessica’s diverse background, as well as her fluency in both English and Spanish, gives her a cutting edge in understanding clients’ needs and in fighting for their rights. She prides herself on her ability to be able to look at a problem from many different angles and “lenses”, and not give up until she has found a solution, as well as on her patience in her interactions with clients. It is important to Jessica that her clients fully understand the process and any approach or strategy that their legal team may want to employ. She wants them to feel included and a part of the process as much as she wants them to be able to trust that she has their best interests in mind.
In her free time, Jessica enjoys going on runs and walks with her dog Mozart and exploring Houston for any new live music spots.
