Language Practice Coordinator
Jose Jimenez is an attorney licensed in Mexico who acts as Chief Paralegal and coordinates the Firm’s Spanish language practice. A native Spanish speaker, Mr. Jimenez cares passionately about the law and his clients. He works tirelessly to ensure that top-notch legal service is provided to those who need it most.
Mr. Jimenez graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Education Science from the Universidad Autonoma de Tabasco. He received a Degree of Science in Military Criminal Law SDN – Mexico City. He served in the Mexican military and was honorably discharged. At that time he became licensed to practice law in Mexican courts.*
Mr. Jimenez later was provided an opportunity to pursue his education and career in the United States. He worked and put himself through school at the University of Houston—Downtown, where he received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Criminal Justice.
In his career of nearly 25 years, Mr. Jimenez has worked as a paralegal at many prominent law firms, including Fulbright & Jaworski LLP; Cozen O’Connor; Hick, Thomas, and Lilienstern; Mayor, Day, Caldwell and Keeton; IKON DLS; Law Offices of David Van Susteren; and Law Offices of Hector P. Sanchez.
Mr. Jimenez’s wide-ranging experience allows him to adeptly handle litigation tasks requiring a high level of organizational skills and critical thinking. Mr. Jimenez has, for example, investigated high-stakes cases around the globe, from helicopter crashes in Mexico and South America to death penalty cases in the United States. He has supported and attended over 25 trials as paralegal and international investigator. He has been engaged by clients to handle various litigations activities including development of an initial case discovery plan, preparation of exhibits and witnesses, and trial logistics and support.
Mr. Jimenez is married to Teresa Estrada. They have three kids: Christina, Teresa, and Maria Jose. In his free time, Mr. Jimenez enjoys traveling with his family, jogging, and reading.
