Michele was born in Norman, Oklahoma. For most of Michele’s childhood, she grew up in Louisiana and Texas while her father was employed in the Oil and Gas Industry.
After Michele graduated high school, she attended night school at the Art Institute of Houston and worked during the day for an Oil and Gas Exploration Company in Houston. After working for the company for a year, she worked her way up to becoming an Oil and Gas Lease Analyst. Michele continued to work as a Lease and Division Order Analyst for fifteen years. Since the oil and gas industry is unpredictable, she made a life-changing career move into the legal profession.
For twelve years, Michele worked as a legal assistant for a small law firm assisting clients with their needs in civil litigation, family, probate, criminal, and personal injury matters. In 2011, Michele was severely injured in a go-kart accident while attending a birthday party for her son. Since she was employed in the legal profession and familiar with the ins and outs of personal injury litigation, she felt she could better assist her clients working for a Plaintiff’s law firm. In 2014, she began working for a Plaintiff’s personal injury law firm handling TCPA claims, first-party insurance claims, and personal injury cases.
Michele joined Morrow & Sheppard LLP in October of 2019. She helps clients navigate the legal, financial challenges, and medical treatment that accompanies devasting injuries. Michele is passionate about her work and recognizes the need to keep in touch with clients as she knows how important it is for them to be kept up to date so as not to add to their worries and pain. She consistently treats every client as if they were a family member. Michele understands and can empathize with her clients since she has been in “their shoes” as an injured party to a lawsuit.
Michele wanted to continue exploring opportunities in the legal field, so she furthered her studies in 2014 by enrolling at the Center for Advanced Legal Studies as a full-time student. Michele excelled in her classes while at CALS. After completing her Paralegal Certificate Program, she went on to complete the associate’s program. In August 2017, she received her Applied Science Degree in Paralegal Studies.
Michele has a daughter, Erica, and four sons Cameron, Brandon, Jordon, and Austin. When Michele is not working, she enjoys spending time with her family, attending her boy’s football games, TKO tournaments, and watching the University of Oklahoma football.
