Common Causes of 18-Wheeler Accidents
Commercial truck drivers are often under pressure to bring their cargo hundreds, or even thousands, of miles in a short time. When a driver gets tired, cuts corners on maintenance, or improperly loads his trailer, accidents can happen. Other common causes of accidents involving 18-wheelers include:
- Drug use;
- Driver intoxication;
- Inadequate driving training and little experience; and
- Driving in dangerous weather.
