Incidents At Calumet’s San Antonio Refinery

The San Antonio Refinery was built in 1955. It is currently owned by Calumet, an Indiana-based company.

The refinery has had a number of accidents and incidents. On May 5, 2010, several explosions originating from a tanker truck badly injured a worker.

In March and April 2014, the refinery caused two oil spills that polluted the San Antonio River.
